Prestige Commercial was founded in 2005 by Chris Sale, initially operating as a carpet and upholstery cleaning company for domestic clients. With a passion for delivering quality service, Chris started with second-hand equipment and a well-used van, gaining experience by shadowing industry professionals and attending certified training courses.

Expansion & Investment in Excellence

As demand grew, Prestige Commercial began working with estate agents across Hertfordshire, completing over 2,000 carpet cleans in the first few years. With a strong commitment to quality and efficiency, Chris reinvested in cutting-edge equipment, advanced materials, and continuous training, ensuring that Prestige always delivered exceptional results.

A Shift to Commercial Carpet Cleaning

In 2008, Toshiba UK approached Prestige to handle their regular carpet maintenance. The challenge was clear—cleaning large office spaces to an impeccable standard while avoiding disruption to a 24-hour operation. To meet these demands, Prestige Commercial worked through the night to maintain pristine carpeted workspaces.

However, the manual effort required was substantial. Recognizing the need for a more efficient and effective system, Chris set out to develop a commercial carpet cleaning solution that would deliver faster, superior results with minimal downtime.

To create a best-in-class cleaning system, Prestige Commercial invited leading manufacturers of commercial carpet cleaning equipment and chemicals to demonstrate their solutions at Toshiba UK. Through extensive testing in real-world environments, Chris refined a unique cleaning system—combining the most effective machines, products, and techniques from multiple manufacturers.
